Jose Mourinho says that time is short preseason Chelsea could not show the best performance, until they finally could only draw 2-2 in the first game against Swansea City.

But Mourinho stressed that the main cause of his failure is fatigue that afflicts the players.

"I think we can win against Swansea, when we decided to hold a short pre-season, but it seems conditions are not running as expected and we were not able to record a victory by the young," said Mourinho told The Express.

"Last year we started it all faster, and played a lot of games before the season starts and we recorded a fantastic start. We paid over this quick start and short preseason. We were exhausted. The team is very tired."
