Former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu believes Arsene Wenger has a great chance to become champion of the Premier League this season.

Kanu managed to bring two league titles while playing for the Gunners in 1999 until 2004. And Arsenal never again become champion since Kanu to leave the club.

When asked about Arsenal's chances of becoming champion this season, Kanu has great confidence that his former team can achieve success after a decade of fasting Premier League title.

"Yes. Everything has to be done with confidence and hearts of the players. When I played there we have many leaders, captain. Each player is the captain. They have to have players who can push other players," said Kanu told BBC Sport.

"Arsenal are a great club, without a trophy it will be disappointing. If they are moving in the right direction they will win the league. Why not?"

Arsenal themselves just drew 0-0 against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. Now they are ranked ninth in the Premier League standings with four points.
