Real Madrid plan to renovate the Santiago Bernabeu has recently received a stalemate, after the city council rejected the proposal to increase the capacity of the stadium club.


Stated that the plan could have a negative impact on residents living in the area around the headquarters of the Los Blancos.


Earlier, Madrid had to get the green light to carry out their plans. But apparently a change of regime in local government and it makes Los Blancos have to bite the finger, because the stadium renovation plan must now be terminated, according to a report in The Mirror.


The same report also says that the new Madrid should implement their plans in general that if they are doing a project capable of providing a positive benefit to society.


Bernabeu is now able to accommodate up to 85,000 people, and Madrid plans to increase seat capacity, plus build a hotel and shopping center in the stadium complex.
