Until giornata 17 Serie A 2015/16, Napoli made by Maurizio Sarri was ranked third behind Inter Milan and Fiorentina. Napoli just one point behind Inter in top spot.


Napoli success entrenched at the top could not be separated from the contribution of Gonzalo Higuain, who according Sarri is the best striker in the world.


In Serie A this season, Higuain had to carve 16 goals and two assists in 17 appearances. The Argentine striker was always a mainstay Napoli in the front row and almost never disappoints.


"Higuain is the best striker in the world. He always played with tremendous intensity," said Sarri quoted as saying by Gazzetta World.


Higuain is currently leading the list of top scorer in Serie A 2015/16. He excelled six goals on Nikola Kalinic(Fiorentina) and Eder(Sampdoria). Later, he also mentioned as the main target for Bayern Munich next season.


Napoli engine itself red-hot after a 3-1 victory at Atalanta. Sarri quite disappointed that this momentum should be stopped by the winter break.


"We've scored a lot of goals, despite suffering at some point. However, statistics show that we always play good football," said Sarri.


"I prefer to play right now. However, this winter break will not be a problem. My players are all professionals," he concluded.


Napoli's first game after the turn of the year is to entertain Torino. The match was played January 7, 2016 in San Paolo
